Oh this made me realise that I used to love reading when I was in grade 2 and no matter how much I tried I just was not good enough for that white teacher she used to critique everything (I know was good because every time she would ask who wants to read people would point at me to read and she would complain Shem when they volunteer me, she would do these ratings and obviously they would rate me the best and she would give me the lowest mark)😭she ruined my confidence when it came to reading Shem and it breaks my heart because I started being rebellious and stopped caring about school,started being quiet in class and never felt desire to develop some sort of bond with my teachers throughout school 🥹💔but I do believe I am a good reader still and I still read for myself ,I’ve never understood people who get emotional because of TikTok’s today is my turn I guess 😂

books are addictive trust me, I'd finish my school novels in like 2 days lapho there are those who don't read them at all and I'd be there explaining every chapter of the book for them and here I am still buying and downloading novels even after matric ❤️and I think it's better when you start getting used to reading at a young age because your mind and body get used to it so studying won't be a struggle 😍
