As a mom, I wait to go back to work until my kids were in school. I provided for a lot of amazing family vacations! Chores were shared, even the kids had a chore schedule. As adults, they know how to do laundry, clean and even cook. We raised self sufficient individuals.

That's fine but I want it as a partnership and there's going to be time's that may not be able to. And with kids should be able to help and work together. One of you gets hurt or sick need help, and you become unable to work. House everything could be gone if not working together. Today's economy women support themselves before marriage and wants to make sure they have a safety net.. because need incase health or injury.

I would love if I only had to pay half. My husband lost his job and doesn’t seem interested in finding another one. Nor does he mind watching me struggle. I work 9-10 hours a day, getting up early to get myself and our daughter ready so she can get to school and I can get to work on time. All while he sleeps.

My paychecks also went into the same account, I cleaned the house, cared for the kids, worked outside and inside the home. Yet, to him, none of it was mine. After 28 years, I gave up and moved on. Left with nothing but MY clothes. My choice.
