I agree but I wouldn't say that Jason is mentally a child. he's smart enough to survive on his own. he probably just doesn't have the same education as other people because his mom thought he was dead.

What really saddens me is how abliest/cruel I've seen people act when talking about Jason. They'll make posts showing his face when he was a child and saying how he deserved what happened to him??? I remember getting introduced to Jason through Friday the 13th coop gameplays on yt, and 12 year old me absolutely sobbing when I looked up his background. I had just been getting into horror/slashers but he always stood out to young me as especially sympathetic (and is still my favourite)

The sad thing is that Jason has too simple a mind in emocional sense , so he can't address his trauma in a complex way like a person with therapy would, it's simply tied to his trauma and so he will stay, it's completely irreparable, a completely broken mind.

No on so many levels. Yes jason is a victim. Sure his behaviour isn’t his fault. But you’re not supposed to root for the massive maniac killing innocent kids by the dozen. You’re meant to root for the main characters trying to survive or stop him
