Aww I know what he means, its when the coffee beans are cooked and grinded in front of you. Then the coffee boiled with the water in a small pot on a travel hob, all while in the same communal space and not the kitchen. My Eritrean friends mum use to do it all the time and she would bring over the coffee beans as they were roasting for us to smell.
