my thought is, the point of a relationship is to have someone by your side WHILE you go through the hard things in life, not to wait til you have yourself/your shit figured out and THEN be with someone. you might get to a better place in life and then want to be with your person, but what happens when shit hits the fan again (cuz it eventually will, that's life)? you end it again? I guess that's a perspective I have a hard time wrapping my head around.

I felt the same way and eventually started feeling like he deserved better. I was also constantly insecure around him and his family, so I decided to leave to “work on myself” and try to find and love myself again. Eventually, he told me that he had lost hope in our relationship because I had broken up with him twice. Both times were because I felt like we weren’t changing the way we handled things or the way we treated each other. He also started becoming more irritated with me, in the same way I used to become irritated with him back then. So honestly, I don’t really know what else I’m supposed to do now. :/

i feel so weird giving unsolicited advice so take it with a grain of salt: don’t settle, but also learn to separate ur self worth vs expectations. going from an over achiever to feeling like u have nothing and u r nothing is such a steep emotional fall. i’m going thru it too.
