I hate when TAs do this at the hotel I work at. Just because they are VIP to you does not make them VIP to us. Special amenities are not free just because you want them to be.

I’m confused. Are Shmarriott vacation planners not a division of the Shmarriott company that runs the hotel? Why would they have different reward programs if it’s the same company and the guests are staying in the Shmarriott hotels?

why would a 3rd party company think for one second the hotel would be responsible for eating the cost of the 3rd parties offers? I'm sure hotels have agreements with some places, but expecting all that for 100/night room is wild behavior

Ain't the entire point of such reward programs "you already earned us so much money, we're giving something back"? The comission is their loyalty and payment over the years to have reached that status
