I cant figure this out but imagine using rocks as sinkers. when the fish hooks up, the rock falls away. Fly fishing is great because the fish doesn't have to pull around a weight in the fight.

I used to use a hypodermic needle to inject air into my night crawlers to keep them off of the bottom and it makes the worm wiggle like crazy
