I admit I have passive aggressive issues HOWEVER as I get older I need to assess relationships/friendships better before connecting and getting closer. The issue is that most people lack self awareness including those complaining about this topic at hand, some of us though acknowledge our flaws (very few of us I'd say). I never intend to ever become passive aggressive but people trigger it when they start offending/insulting me through inappropriate jokes or comments and then suddenly they unlock the passive aggressive side of me, of course I could not confront them or make them take accountability because as I mentioned most people even "the good ones" the ones that see themselves as "victims" are generally the ones creating the issue to begin with. As such, to avoid this defensiveness I now just need to be careful who I become close to and ensure my boundaries are clearly established early on in the friendship to hopefully avoid this nonsense.

I’m glad I cut them off the most annoying person I ever met in my life. Turns out I was dealing with a covert narc. It took for them too move to another state for me to smoothly break off the friendship.

My sister was this type, lol. I had to leave her alone, she was the type to walk around the grocery store and almost hit everyone with her cart because she would act like people were literally invisible , like she didn’t care at all. And that’s just one of the many things she did in public that was quite embarrassing

Lack of self awareness is huge!! I have a friend who thinks nothing of venting to me about a particular person and I listen and I realize she’s just venting but a couple times she’s really lost her shit over it and then on the one particular occasion when I make a singular comment venting about the same particular person, she plays devils advocate, and takes the other person side. And acts like she’s the adjudicator of fairness and what’s right and wrong and I’m just like… What the actual f???
