@luis.martinezjr: 60 Seconds With Jesus ✞ Verse : ↓ “They tested God in their heart by demanding the food they craved.” (Psalm 78:18 ESV) Anchor : ↓ Making God earn your devotion turns worship into a transaction. Prayer : ↓ Eternal God & Ever Wise Father, Bring Your light into the motives beneath our prayers, especially where we have mistaken a strong desire for something You owe us. Your Word says, “You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions” (James 4:3 ESV). Give us the humility to accept what You reveal and the courage to let Your will interrupt our plans. Through Your Spirit, teach us to desire what honors Jesus. Let contentment take root in the ordinary gifts we have overlooked. As we recognize Your kindness in them, deepen our joy in belonging to You. In the Mighty and Majestic and Matchless name of our Lord and Savior and soon to return King, Jesus Christ ✞, and all people said Amen, Amen & Amen. #jesus #bible #christian #devotional #verseoftheday
