He's talking about a Florida statute. I don't think there are any other states that have this particular law. The law around sending threats varies a lot among the different states.

I have been threatened in the most vile ways.. the detail and sincerity of the person is direct. she has threatened to kill my son, hes now 5. my mother, myself, 3 of my friends children. she did to a few months in jail for telling the dcfs case worker she was going to come into her home hold her and her husband at gunpoint pour gasoline on their children and light them on fire so they could watch. she made the paper for that one but got out of it on "mental issues" she's out walking free.. many many more details anybody wants to know just ask i cannot get help from police or the courts.. even though she did attempt to attack me in the courthouse I believe she was going to try and throw me over the railing of the second floor, an officer got his hands on her first. as he was taking her out she's yelling "im going to kill you (my name) im going to kill your mom (my name) more than five cops and more than one judge heard it. but now for the cherry on top.. after that incident I was put in contact with a special agent where I spent 4 hours in an interagation room being good questioned about her in relation to her first husband's MURDER .. he was beaten to death in a ditch behind a shopping center. she's a bigger person of course and would absolutely have the strength to do this to a smaller man such as he was or I am. She could do this to my mother who weighs 105 at 60 years old.. my 5 year old who is her ultimate target as she has expressed to me on multiple occasions she would have no problem doing this even in the pressance of a supervised visit. im saying this all here on an open public forum because im getting desperate. her promising me she would @#$$ my son using the courts to get close and getting it done and theres nothing i can do to stop her. she told me I can either @#$$ her and spend my life in prison or she will @#$$ him. As of now she has made good on her promise. She has gotten the courts to order supervised parenting time and she will be perfect for them so as to get unsupervised court ordered time alone with him. I need help. my family, my son needs help. ive spent 37k in lawyers trying to stop this amd no one seems to care.

I worked for a PD. This is absolutely not as black and white as he says. Most of the time this barely qualifies as a misdemeanor. In CA it’s very much a wobbler.
