I used to work at Amazon. If it was shipped and fulfilled by Amazon, Tell the customer service rep this wasn’t your fault it arrived in that shape you’re not going out of your way to send it back because they messed up. 9/10 times they wont fight you and issue a refund.

Last time Amazon asked me to do that I said I’m not doing the leg work for your mistake. And then they tried to get me to pay a restocking fee. Again I said, I’m not paying for YOUR mistake. They send me a new one for free and picked up their damaged item. Maybe don’t let your employees throw glass over the fence? Maybe?
