Alcohol by itself isnt haram, its only haram if it intoxicates you when its drunken in large amounts. So Vanilla Extract is Halal since even if you consume in large amounts it wont intoxicate you

Curious if alcohol is Haram then why did Jesus drink wine and turn water into wine? Also, why did He teach the old Testament which has multiple accounts of drinking wine talk about positive light? If you believe Jesus to be a prophet then would He not have taught these things?

As someone who eats kosher, even we, as Jews will read the ingredients on something that is labeled kosher, because in regular grocery stores (not kosher grocery stores) there are manufacturers who will put a kosher symbol on their product, and they’re not really kosher.

I only knew about vanilla extract having trace amounts of alcohol (you can't actually get drunk off vanilla extract unless you drink maybe the whole bottle or more than one).
