@sydneywalker546: Sometimes “I don't like school” means something much bigger. She said, “You were so proud when I got into this school. I didn't want you to think I couldn't handle it.” That one hurt. #storytime #motherhood #parenting #middleschool #bullying

From my experience with this exact scenario, I just have to warn you that the grass isn’t always greener somewhere else. I would exhaust all options of support at her current school before uprooting her.

I'm glad this is UGC for Daimon because I was concerned why you would still be hesitating to take your daughter out of a place when she wasn't happy

I would be worried that she is getting bullied. I also would be worried about her mental state and would be taking steps to help her. a new school is better than losing your child forever.

We were experiencing this with my daughter. The only difference was she would come in my classroom during lunch or if the class period had free time. We finally put our house on the market and made the move, the summer of her junior year. It was the best decision we’ve made. I wish we would’ve done it sooner. She’s thriving, has a bunch a sweet friends who come over, cheering on HS team. It’s like night and day. Seeing her smile and the happiness on her face makes all the sacrifices worth it. Even the 1.5 hour drive to work.

For everyone suggesting online options, how is actually being by yourself at home going to cure loneliness? Also, some people cannot change their child's school for various reasons, what is a solution that helps the student overcome her loneliness without moving schools?

My daughter was having issues with bullies we switched her school and we noticed a huge change and she is much happier. Always listen to your kids they deserve to speak up and tell when something is bothering them and their parent should always take their feelings into account.

Transferred my child and wish I had sooner. She’s doing great at her new school. No regrets at all.

From one mom to another, I went through the same thing and changing my daughter’s school was the best decision I have ever made. She’s so much happier, making friends and joined a sport. I waited until she was in high school and wished I would have done it sooner, but better late than never. I wish you and your daughter the best! ❤️
