@jeffrey_kwakye_: The arrest was particularly memorable because police reportedly found Ataa Ayi at the Teshie house while he was drying his clothes. The operation involved the then Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, ACP Kofi Boakye. At the time, police alleged that Ataa Ayi had been responsible for numerous armed robberies. Shortly after his arrest, GNA reported that he confessed to masterminding 38 successful robberies in the Accra metropolis, although his later court proceedings included denials of involvement in particular robberies. Just two days after his arrest, he was brought before the Adjabeng District Magistrate Court together with his alleged second-in-command, Emmanuel Sackey Tetteh, alias Mpata. They were charged with conspiracy and robbery and remanded while police investigated more than 50 robbery cases. The arrest effectively brought to an end a years-long police manhunt that had made Ataa Ayi’s name synonymous with armed robbery in Ghana in the early 2000s. #ghanatiktok🇬🇭 #ghana #fyp #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #viral
