The song "Go Dam" is based on the true story of the "Sarasin Bridge Love Legend," a famous Thai love tragedy in 1973. It is about a true love blocked by social class and wealth.
Dam Sae-tan (23), a local bus driver and rubber tapper in Phuket, and "Kru Kiu" Kanjana Sae-ngo (19), a rich college student, loved each other deeply. However, the girl's family strictly forbade their relationship because of their different backgrounds.
The Tragedy: On December 22, 1973, they ran away to Sarasin Bridge (the bridge between Phang Nga and Phuket). They tied themselves together with a traditional cloth and jumped into the sea, choosing to die together for their love since they could not be together in the real world.
