only just got a cat recently, last one I "had" was a stray I took care of at 9, and had for like a year, and my friends called me the cat whisperer for years despite not owning a cat for nearly a decade because I did research and knew specifically how scared cats acted and the small things you don't realize can happen until you have a rescue or stray, like the fact that cats can get eye herpes from stress, and it's usually most common when bringing a stray cat indoor full time
