I agree with you completely. These kinds of programs are in fact needed and they are great WHEN THEY ARE VOLUNTARY. But I personally don't trust our government blindly and have the same questions you do. what happens when they are told "no".

Not to mention the personal opinion aspect. Who decides what style of parenting is the correct style? Or how a household should be managed? You get one nurse who doesn't like your trash can being next to the food pantry and she notes unsanitary conditions. 🤔

They already force you to prove you’ve vaccinated your children and come into your home to test for lead paint poisoning if you receive food stamps. We were on EBT for six months after I lost my job and they wanted to come test my house in order to continue to receive food stamps money even though I told them my house was just built two years prior and there is no lead. Soooo we already are controlled in order to receive social programs in the US as it is.
