“if you can’t picture him comforting a scared child then you haven’t written batman. you’ve just written the punisher in a funny hat.”

As cool as it is to see Batman aura farm and say stuff like "Deep down Clark's a good person, and deep down I'm not", THIS is what Batman is deep down. He knows what Ace is going through because he is still, in some ways, a scared kid alone in the world. Just like her.

All the Batman movies turn him into the punisher, but Batman deep down is that scared child in crime alley, making sure no child has to go through that and offering comfort to those who have.

the voice acting in that series. all the main and side characters VAs acted like their rent was due and I was here for every minute of it! like listen to sadness in that "would you stay with me? I'm scared." 😭

My favorite part of any superhero media, but Batman does it great is moments of humanizing these villains like I think Batman the animated series they showed them actually in Arkham and showed some getting better or at least caring about each other. It really is beautiful and that scene of flash, seeing the trickster and convincing him that he needs help will always touch my heart in a special way🖤
