i have this theory that the guy is using socialism (the bad word apparently) to appease to the right-wing working class and move votes over to blue. to accomplish socialism you NEED to have the systems in place THROUGH capitalism (done well) to then go through the progression to socialism (and then to communism but folks want to talk about socialism nowadays). this could either be a plant or a new politic tech. dude's shitting on lobbyists and corporate PACs while having a very deep educational background i dont think he's stupid enough to say these things when running for senate BUT i may just be giving this guy the benefit of the doubt. a lot of (albeit undereducated) right wingers would support socialist policies if they just weren't called socialism

He is not wrong, we don’t live in a free market economy if the economy is in the hands of the state, for example regulatory cap. (hence the term corporate socialism being more of an analogy than directly describing a form of socialism.) i think you should read markets not capitalism by Gary Chartier.

U guys arent listening, when he mentions Corporate Socialism, he doesnt Marxists terminology of socialism. Corporate socialism is when government use public funds and regulations to protect big corporation, and when he says that we dont live in capitalism is because what we called capitalism is totally different from what Adam Smith wrote
