beautiful day yesterday working on Moosehide at Snake River cabin.. I brought my kiddos with me. They had fun playing nearby all day, my baby not leaving my side. They learn a lot this way. When I was leaving camp I checked my phone and saw this photo of my grandma sent to me. I noticed she'd be about the same age as my daughter. It was very emotional as I couldn't help but think of how life was for my grandma at that age, not long after she was off to residential school in Alberta. 💔 I made a promise a few years ago to learn to tan Moosehide and learn as much traditional/on the land skills as I could. I fulfilled that promise a year later and learned to tan hide in NWT in 2023. And the learning has been everyday life since. I'm so grateful for my life and the gifts Creator gave me.
