Kurt Vonnegut's "Tralfamadorians don't see human beings as two-legged creatures, either. They see them as great millipedes - with babies' legs on one end and old people's legs at the other” Feels a lot like onion skinning reality (to use the animation analogy). We are beings stuck in the arrow of time - who get momentary glimpses of what it means to break free from it. Perhaps this 4D reconstruction is one of those glimpses.
