i think the mist is a great adaptation, but not that good of a movie. i think something like stand by me or shawshank is an example great adaptation and a great movie, the shining is a terrable adaptation but an amazing movie, and, idk, lawnmower man is a bad adaptation bad movie

I used to agree, but I sadly feel like this ending was for shock value for in the time that this was made a twist Indian was all the craze, in fact this was one of my favorites it was top of the list, but then I went and had a child myself and now I'm very torn on this ending I feel like it's a little too unrealistic no father would just shoot his child when there was no immediate danger I don't care what you saw he didn't see enough to kill his kid there was no monster outside the car trying to get in at the moment the scene does not make sense other than for shock value which I was all for at the time but now being a father it just doesn't make sense you wouldn't kill your kid unless there was a monster literally at the door they had other options they did not do a good enough job conveying that he had no other choice in my opinion I love your work though bro keep doing what you're doing I love all your opinions even when I don't agree with them it makes me think about things I can't wait for your book to come out let me know

the devil all the time by Donald Ray Pollock is a great novel that should've been adapted into a show, but the movie we got out of it wasn't bad.

I just read the book a few weeks ago and started to not like David the first time he got aroused by Amanda. Like, it’s only been a few hours and he’s already horny for some young woman while his son keeps asking for his mom 🙄 The movie is MUCH better and I’m a ‘the book is better’ girl. I feel the same way about the short story The Raft. Hated the story, loved the adaptation in Creep Show.
