@chris.schlicht: Mike Desronvil was the lone holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial who prevented Clancy from walking free. When the rest of the jury moved toward letting her go, Desronvil refused to budge. That one act of conscience kept the verdict from being handed away without a fight. He is conservative, Catholic, and Black, and people celebrating him are right to say none of that is the point. The point is that he stood on principle when it was easiest to go along. That kind of moral backbone deserves to be named out loud. Justice does not happen automatically. Sometimes it takes one person who will not bend.
