I just read The Fifth Sacred Thing by Starhawk, about a future where witches and women and community wins over authoritarianism and hatred. It was absolutely fantastic and I am going to be starting the sequel soon! I heard an interview with her saying that she wrote this so people could visualize what a future could look like where We Win with love. 10/10 ❤️🌈

I enjoy audiobooks. I found that I can consume many more audiobooks than print books simply because of my time or sometimes just being tired or whatever. I'm not sure if it's the same thing though. what are your thoughts about that?

Tamora Pierce's Circle Of Magic series was foundational for me. Heck, so was Tortall. And Mercedes Lackey's 500 Kingdoms and Elemental Magicians series. Terry Pratchett's Discworld. Heck, even Neil Gaimen despite him turning out to be a horrible personb American Gods is a great introductionto egregores.

I have always felt this was true! books are windows to other worlds we would not get to visit otherwise, but they are real. His dark materials by Philip Pullman, the Lord of the rings (obviously), and anything by Madeline L'Engle-- changed me as a human growing up. helped me break away from my religious cold and I could not be more grateful to those authors if they had pulled me out of a Frozen river.🥰
