@hollywoodreeltime: Caleb Flynn’s mistress took the stand in his murder trial Wednesday, reading messages the former “American Idol” contestant allegedly sent her about his wife, Ashley Flynn, and their future together. Alleigha Botner, 24, testified about her relationship with Flynn and messages the two exchanged before Ashley Flynn was found fatally shot inside the family’s Tipp City, Ohio, home on Feb. 16, 2026. Botner testified that the relationship became sexual in 2024 and that Flynn told her he planned to get a divorce on Feb. 16 — the same day Ashley was killed. During her testimony, Botner read messages in which Flynn discussed wanting her as his wife and the mother of his children and expressed wanting Ashley “dead and gone.” Botner also testified that Flynn would say he hated his wife and wanted her dead. The messages have become a key part of the prosecution’s case. Prosecutors say Flynn and Botner exchanged more than 100,000 messages in the year before Ashley’s death. In other messages previously presented in court, prosecutors said Flynn wrote about trying to think of ways to kill his wife without going to jail and, hours before her death, told Botner that “actions will come tomorrow.” Prosecutors allege Flynn killed Ashley and staged the scene to look like a home invasion. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his defense has argued that his affair and disturbing messages do not prove that he killed his wife. The Caleb Flynn murder trial continues in Miami County, Ohio.
