Oh yes I do! Father was sitting in the backseat on the way home from Biloxi seeing his doctors at the VA, about a 2 Hour Dr. on I 10, a highway at Times four lanes. He began to have a fit of rage, tried to climb over the front seat from the back, to turn off the button, which would stop the vehicle. Driving at about 75 MPH in the second lane from the right of four lanes, I tried to fight him off and keep him in the backseat for all it was worth. I was terrified that we were going to have an accident and kill or hurt others or ourselves. I was so scared. I don’t even remember what I said that got him to stop, but we did make it home safely. That was the worst one, once I actually had to pull over on the same route because it got so dangerous. Another time I was driving on 190 in Louisiana, and he started trying to “takeover“ the car, scaring me as I was swerving back-and-forth on a two-lane highway. Luckily, we were about a mile from Mandeville police station and I had to pull in there and tell them what he was doing. All of this behavior, unfortunately is due to his narcissism and dementia. I’m scared to get in a vehicle with him now, but I have to in order to take him to see my mother‘s resting place and two doctors. I just have to be careful and have plans of defense in my mind ready. Luckily, nothing has happened since the MPD incident, and hope for nothing will happen again. It may not sound scary, but believe me it’s 100 times worse than the way it sounds. And 100 times Satur to see your father in that state of mind and not be able to help it.
