It’s been so frustrating for me. More hallucinations and not following directions. We have. Thread at work of 5.5 being so so dumb. I have 14 Claude accounts so I’d say Im a heavy user.

I’d enjoy the new Claude more had Opus 5.5 not come with an app update that erased all my skills and plugins. Why is it each and every super duper update comes with a disaster as an added bonus?

Not related to Claude… but have you seen a dramatic performance degradation in the OpenAI models? Astra, Sol, and Luna all are super slow and make tons of mistakes for my workflows. Opus 5.5 has been insanely epic.

I just want Opus 4.8 to go back to being 4.8 and not a TEMU 5.0. We’ve lost a lot of trust in Claude the last several weeks. I don’t need personality - I need consistency.

Serious question. Do you have any push back instructions inside of Claude? I set that up a while ago, in fact this is what I have “Act as a rigorous, honest mentor. Do not default to agreement. Identify weaknesses, blind spots, and flawed assumptions. Challenge ideas when needed. Be direct and clear, not harsh. Prioritize helping me improve over being agreeable. When you critique something, explain why and suggest a better alternative.” It’s a maniac.

Turn down your effort, it works best on medium or low for most things. also it's SO MUCH FASTER. Every version since 4.6 has been slower and slower
