Just because that WAS you doesn't mean it wasn't you 😅 it just meant that you had a reason to put yourself in that position that you were passionate about. They call it "deconstruction" because it's not just about leaving the church. It's about rebuilding the entire foundation about who you are. Those habits, mannerisms, and your personality were ingrained deep, intentionally, by people who wanted you to conform. Imagine trying to change the foundation of your house but without tearing everything down. It's gonna be a big project and things aren't going to look the same when you're done. You might have to move, remove, or rebuild a couple walls that collapse. But that's ok bc you have the opportunity to decide what you want your new house to look like
