@david.reye96: Life — The Journey We Never Truly Understand Until We’ve Lived It Life is strange. We spend so much of it trying to understand where we are going, only to realize that sometimes the most important part of life is learning to appreciate where we are standing right now. There are days when everything feels beautiful. You wake up with hope in your heart, you laugh without forcing it, you talk to people who make you feel loved, and for a moment, everything seems to make sense. Then there are days when you don’t even recognize yourself. Days when you feel tired for reasons you cannot explain. Days when you smile around people while quietly fighting battles they know nothing about. Days when you wonder why you have had to go through so much while other people seem to have life figured out. But that is one of life’s greatest lessons: you rarely know what someone else is carrying. Some people are fighting battles behind beautiful smiles. Some are rebuilding themselves after things they never talk about. Some are desperately trying to find their way again after losing the person they used to be. And sometimes, that person is you. Life will disappoint you. People will disappoint you. Plans will fail. Relationships will change. People you thought would stay forever may become strangers. Doors you prayed would open may close right in front of you. And when those things happen, it can feel like life is punishing you. But sometimes, a closed door isn’t the end of your story. Sometimes it is simply the end of a chapter you were too afraid to close yourself. You will lose people. You will lose opportunities. You will lose time. And sometimes you will even lose parts of yourself. But losing a part of yourself doesn’t always mean you’re broken. Sometimes it means you’re growing into someone you haven’t met yet. There will come a time when you look back at the person you used to be and realize that they survived things they once thought would destroy them. You will remember the nights you cried. The conversations that broke your heart. The disappointments you didn’t deserve. The people you begged to stay. The moments you felt completely alone. And you’ll realize something powerful: You made it through. Maybe not perfectly. Maybe with scars. Maybe with lessons you never wanted to learn. But you made it through. And that deserves more recognition than you probably give yourself. We often celebrate achievements but forget to celebrate survival. We celebrate the person who bought their first house, got their dream job, graduated, got married, became successful. But sometimes the greatest achievement is simply waking up after a night when you didn’t think you could face another day. Sometimes success is choosing to try again. Sometimes strength is getting out of bed when your heart feels heavy. Sometimes courage is saying, “I don’t know what tomorrow holds, but I’m going to keep going.” Life isn’t about having everything figured out. Nobody does. Some people are simply better at hiding their uncertainty. You don’t have to know exactly where you’ll be five years from now. You don’t have to have the perfect relationship, the perfect career, the perfect body, the perfect home, or the perfect life. You are allowed to be a work in progress. You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to start over. You are allowed to outgrow people. You are allowed to walk away from places that no longer bring you peace. You are allowed to become someone different from who you thought you would be. And most importantly, you are allowed to take your time. Life is not a race. Someone else’s chapter 20 cannot be compared to your chapter 5. Don’t look at another person’s success and use it as evidence that you’re failing. You don’t know how long they struggled before you saw the result. You don’t know what they sacrificed. You don’t know what happens behind their closed doors. Your journey is yours. Walk it at your own pace. There will be seasons when you feel like you’re moving forward and seasons when it feels like you’
