She’s absolutely right. I taught 5th last year. My students were literally playing “baddies”. My students were play fighting one day and it looked real. I quickly ran over there and I was like what are yall doing?! “We’re just playing baddies and. Williams it’s not real”. What happened to playing tag, hide and seek, red light green light?!!

I have stopped doing my girls group because I don’t have the mental capacity to deal with those girls. Only a month in school and we already have no contact orders for girls and girls being escorted to and from class smh!

I had this issue last year. The twist was that the mean girls were envious of me--the teacher. I learned the hard way after 15 years in--it is absolutely a thing. Thinking that dressing well, keeping hair and nail appointments would inspire young ladies did the opposite.

It was the mom of one of my daughter's friends that was the jealous one. We found out that she was talking about how spoiled my daughter was and how she didn't like her because she travels out of the country every summer, she got into a gifted academy for high school, and because her dad and I are still married. Thing is my daughter is so humble and truly a girls girl. Thank goodness her friend didn't hold the same views as her mom. Thing is our family helped her alot. She is a single mom with 4 kids and I would drop her kids off and pick them up from the bus stop, my husband and son would work on her car for free, and so much more.
