As someone with fair skin who used to be blonde, the blonde washes you out as it did for me. When I went dark, I noticed I stopped looking so pink and my skin looked more even. If you do choose to go darker, go for a cool toned brown bc warm tones will also wash you out. I think our skin is the same color in fairness
