I honestly cried twice when watching this movie in theaters. I went to go see it by myself since I had no one else to go see it with but it was heartwarming.

Superman (2025) reminded me why I loved reading superhero comics growing up. It wasn't cuz the good guy always won, or the fights were massive in scale and stuff. Sure, those were neat and all, but it was the kindness of the heroes. Superman, stopping to save a little girl. Batman, offering a lollipop to a kid who was scared of him. Spider-Man, pushing through all of the negativity in his life and being positive despite it. The kindness they portrayed made me want to be kind. And I think I'd forgotten that for a little while. But now I'll never forget, because we have that kindness in all of us. And it doesn't take a Kryptonian to see it, just to help us see it ourselves.

To me this is who Superman is supposed to be. Someone who wants to be a good person and uses his godlike powers to protect humans. I feel like this version of Superman would mourn even the loss of any life, like the one he mourned in the movie
