apandaze :

just saying, toilets are actually a lot cooler than youd think. when you press the handle, youre basically triggering a tiny hydraulic system: handle moves a lever, the lever lifts a flapper valve (or similar flush valve) at the bottom of the tank. water rushes from the tank into the bowl. that sudden rush fills the toilet's rim channels & jet openings. the water is directed around the bowl & through the siphon passage. the bowl fills high enough to start a siphon effect. the siphon pulls the contents of the bowl over the trap & into the drain. the tank refills, & a float/fill valve shuts the water off. all done without electricity or pump. just gravity, the shape of the plumbing & atmospheric pressure. AND i haven't talked about the actual porcelain cuz those channels at the rim are made into the ceramic. they arent plastic tubes
