1. u will never catch me “running” to scene bc that equipment & stair chair is HEAVY. U might see me do a little speed walk. 2. yeah it’s crazy how people don’t know the difference. 3. people get dumber when lights & sirens are on. most calls are non emergencies.

A paramedic may have the higher certification but an EMT basic will save a paramedics butt almost every time.

None of my meds, skills or ALS matters if I don’t have good BLS. Nothing I can do as a medic is anymore important than what a competent EMT can do. Also, if I don’t have an EMT who is good behind the wheel then I’m screwed. If I’m running someone hot to the ER I need a smooth ride. That’s extremely important.

Paramedics are the drug pushers. But still need the basic’s. We all work together and along with rescue/ Police. We are one in the same. 👍

The number of people that get mad I’m not busting the doors open running with all the equipment like an episode of 911. Honey If I’m running you better see what’s chasing me cause BSI SCENE NOT SAFE if you catch my clumsy, accident prone self doing more than a speed walk🤣 people’s ability to use their brain also goes out the window when they see the blinkies. Like a bunch of deer with driver’s licenses🥴

And then paramedics turn into something called a paragod!! Paragods believe the emt is only there to pick up the trash, and do the paragods paperwork for them!!
