The page shows off the Exposition Building, the Board of Trade, the Post Office and Custom House, and the Court House. Every one of them has been demolished. The Board of Trade's trouble got worse in the 1920s, when construction on the Federal Reserve Bank across the street left the building unsound. The map shows Jackson Park as open marshland, just before it became the 1893 World's Fair. #chicago #maptok #worldatlas #vintage
