@eastcoastfarrier: NIGHTY NIGHT • PART 2 🐴❤️ Apparently Nighty and I needed a quick hug before we could get back to work. 😂❤️ We're continuing his first trim with me, and this time we're tackling that second front hoof. As always, I'm talking you through what I'm seeing, what I'm taking off and why I'm making those decisions. Whether I'm underneath a full-size horse or a little guy like Nighty, I'm still paying attention to the same important things: hoof balance, toe length, heel height, hoof wall and flare, sole and frog health, growth patterns and how each foot is wearing. That's something I hope more miniature horse and pony owners take away from these videos. Small feet aren't less important just because they're attached to a small horse. And a good hoof trim isn't simply about making the foot shorter. Each hoof needs to be evaluated on its own and every adjustment should have a reason behind it. Nighty was once again a pretty darn good boy for this foot. We even took a minute to hug it out. ❤️🐴 Then, right before I could show everybody the finished product, apparently Nighty decided his appointment was officially over. And off he went. 😂💨 Nice try, buddy. We retrieved our little escape artist, got our final look at the hoof, and now both fronts are officially DONE. ✅ Next up…the hind feet. ➡️ PART 3: Will Nighty finish his first appointment as the sweet little gentleman we've been seeing—or does he have a few more pony tricks waiting for me? 👀😂 If you own a mini or pony and you're learning about miniature horse hoof care, pony hoof trimming, mini horse hooves, hoof balance, barefoot pony trimming, hoof flare, frog and sole health, horse hoof problems, regular farrier schedules or healthy horse hooves, follow along with Nighty's series. 👇 MINI & PONY OWNERS: Is yours an angel for the farrier…or a tiny escape artist like Nighty? 😂 #farrier #pony #hoofcare #minihorse #equestrian
