@talkingwithjayy: LEAFS HOCKEY IS ALMOST BACK AND I’M NOT READY 😭💙 There’s just something different about the feeling heading into a new season. Auston Matthews is back, the boys are getting ready for the new 84-game grind, and suddenly all the excitement of Leafs hockey is starting to come back. Seeing Papi already looking sharp in preseason and hearing the announcer call that goal “vintage Matthews” just makes you realize how badly we’ve missed this. When that release is flying into the top corner, you already know the season is about to get fun. There are so many reasons to be excited about this team. We get another year of Matthews leading the way, another opportunity for the core to finally put everything together, and plenty of younger players looking to take another step. Then you have all the storylines that come with being the Leafs. Battle of Ontario games, big matchups against the Atlantic Division, Saturday night hockey, playoff races and those games where the entire city is watching. And obviously, the possibility of eventually seeing Papi share the ice with Gavin McKenna makes the future of this team even more exciting. 😭🔥 There’s a lot to look forward to. And that's the thing about being a Leafs fan. Every season starts with that little bit of hope that THIS could finally be the year. We've experienced the heartbreak, the playoff exits, the blown leads and all the jokes, but every October we come right back believing again. That's what makes this team so special. There is nothing like watching Matthews score in front of a packed Scotiabank Arena, hearing the crowd explode and knowing an entire city is living and dying with every game. PAPI IS BACK, LEAFS HOCKEY IS BACK, AND ANOTHER SEASON OF CHAOS IS HERE. 😭💙🏒 LET'S GET IT, LEAFS NATION. #Leafsnation #fyp #nhl #Hockey #austonmatthews #battleofontario #nhlhighlights
