Ok, let’s chat! Did I like it yes, but I felt something missing. Also, it felt a little rushed. Not 100% sold on the chemistry and I feel like things were more awkward in the movie than how I pictured it. I feel like we found our Olive but Adam was maybe too grumpy. I didn’t feel the yearn from him. Overall, cute but I think books need to be tv series to fit more in.

I loved the book but tbh I understand why they left this part out. I think it would have been very difficult to convey in a way that didnt end up feeling creepy or deceptive. I think it worked for the book but would not have translated well.

I was sooo upset that the scene where Tom was(😔) awful didn’t happen before they went out for sushi,,, because that’s why he’d ask her if she was okay in the book,, and when ch. 16 scene happened, he was supposed to still be understanding and comforting of her,,,, amd they were supposed to hug and both be to the border of crying before their fake dating was over,, and he was supposed to break down and ask her “it was him?!, he did this” and punch Tom and tell him to never even dare looking at “the woman I love”🤧 we were robbed

I thought the movie was cute. But it was a bad adaptation. They literally changed so much. Some of the things Adam said Dr Aslan said to her in the book. And I was like wtf? Why did they change that lol
