Not too far away is Long Beach and Pass Christian. Both have some great little restaurants you may want to give a try. Coastal Daiquiri has a drive-thru for frozen drinks too in LB (e.g. daiquiri, pina colada, etc.). I spent some time in the area a few summers ago and really enjoyed it. Have a great time!

We stay 6 months between Pensacola and New Orleans over winter. This is out my kitchen window from Meaher State Park. That is Mobile Bay. So beautiful. Check out Blakeley Historical site in Spanish Fort. It was the site of the last battle of the Civil War, it was abandoned until the 1970s, and it is incredible. Go to Meaher, as well. There is a boardwalk, and below you, the water is filled with alligators. Enjoy! We would move there, but we like the cooler summers and fly fishing, here in The Catskills.
