The husband went inside and got the collar and brought it to the police and said he found it on his front porch laying on the doormat. They brought the cat inside and didn’t intend to give it back to the owner. As far as the way the police handled the situation I think it was justified. People knock on doors then force their way in the house all the time. Having a pew partially showing from your front pocket is a huge red flag to most people when a stranger is at your door. As far as the lecture is concerned the cop took it way too far. He should have followed the law and kept his personal opinions to himself 💯💯💯
