The clock ticking is real. I got married and had a baby in my 30s, and looking back, my husband and I both realized that we should’ve done it earlier. I know there’s a trend nowadays of telling women, “There’s no rush. You have plenty of time.” And honestly, I understand why. Sometimes it’s comforting to believe that everything will happen whenever it’s meant to happen, especially when you haven’t met the right person yet, or when no one you genuinely want to build a life with is proposing. And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being single, waiting, or choosing a different timeline. But I also think we need to be honest with ourselves about what we actually want. There’s a difference between genuinely being content with your circumstances and convincing yourself that you don’t want something because you’re afraid it may not happen. The clock is ticking. That doesn’t mean you should panic or settle. It simply means we should be honest about our desires, our timelines, and the choices we make.
