I feel like in this situation the parents should be charged along side her, because why was the weapon and the ammunition so easy to access for her? Also, people saying “she probably had glass child syndrome” like that’s any excuse to end the life of another human being is insane to me. Plenty of us have trauma and have gone through life without doing anything like that…

One of my children is disabled and this is why all my kids are in therapy. Everyone has a safe space to talk, learn healthy coping mechanisms. It’s hard on kids when the siblings require so much care and attention. Sending love to this family, my heart breaks for you.

this is why I'm a firm believer on not having anymore kids if you already have a disabled/medically complex child. it's not fair to the other children. hopefully she gets the help she needs and the parents need to be charged right along with her. why was the gun so accessible???

As a mom of 2 kids, one special needs and one not…it’s really difficult on the “typical” child. Lots of extra responsibilities passed on..”take care of your brother while I (fill in the blank). I’ve tried so hard to make sure my typical kiddo has his own life, is seen and valued. But I can see the rage in his eyes when his brother is being very difficult. It’s hard on everyone. This young girl is probably a glass child. Not seen. Not heard. This is a terrible situation for the whole family.
