in my experience im not really a fan of how fluid they are w/ everything. (for context im an enneagram 1) i have strong feelings towards everything and a drive to move against the world, having someone who doesn't feel particularly driven towards any particular viewpoint just agitate and bore me a little bit. i like engagement and passion over just listening which was the bulk of most of my problems around e9s

I think 3, 7 and 8 are drawn to 9s because they’re the only ones who can listen to all they have to say. But I think 9s prefer to be with 2s, 6s, 9s.

My brother is an e9 w8 and he is sooooo chill but he is argumentative AF. but he argues from the viewpoint of considering all perspectives. Like he cannot be ruffled by anything ever, but he will always have that perspective of seeing things from everyone else’s vantage point & challenge you on it. And he’s a chatty one so there’s that. Hard to see him as a backseat personality. 🤷♀️

But also, when a 9 DOES decide something they want they can often become stubborn and/or intense about that thing. And a healthy 3/7/8 will cheer them on and make space for that! 😂 This is my dynamic with multiple friends as an 8. They always tell me that I make them feel brave and it’s the best compliment I’ve ever gotten 😭

im an e7 with a big personality i only really know one or two e9s I've enjoyed even just being around 🤔 i feel like e9s are too boring for me if i wanted a partner i would want one who helps push me to do things and has the same energy as me. idk. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 i think e9s definitely gather around me and i dont mind it but I dont see myself ending up in a solid good relationship with an e9 cus i have tried and it was. so boring and the fact im aromantic made it so that because the relationship never really gave me anything to enjoy it like. idk put me off. 🤔 i sound insane
