This isn’t new information. They unsign every previous update about 2-4 weeks after the latest update comes out. Apple has always prevented people from downgrading their system version.

This happens every year, they stop signing the previous versions pretty quickly after releasing. I bricked my iPhone 4 at 10 years old trying to downgrade from iOS 7 to iOS 6.1.3.

Thanks for sharing information we already know. Like wow Apple did what they typically do. What did they do with iOS 17 after 18 came out? They stopped signing it. What did they do with 18 after 26 came out? They stopped signing it. It’s been like this for years but you choose to now report about it. Also, very misleading intro. Apple’s not stopping anybody from using iOS 26, they’re just stopping downgrades.
