Whenever my son bit me, I immediately put him down and told him we don’t bite and then we will try again later and every time that he would bite it, he would get put down so he started associating that biting meant he wasn’t getting milk

she bit me once, I put her down after gently flicking her cheek and saying no bite ... walked out of the room, she cried for a bit. I came back, tried again and no issues.

Let her cry mama its time shes off the nip …. I understand how some moms will feel but its causing you pain and unbearable stress because of the mom guilt but honestly girl shes getting to that age …. When i nursed my son and he started nipping and biting it was time…. It was rough but getting her used to a bottle will help seeing that shes already used to a paci … idk just my motherly honest opinion

Firstly, lower her crib 1-2 levels. It’s too high to be safe at the moment. When she stands in her crib, the edge should not come any lower than armpit/nipple height. As for nursing, I stopped every time she would bite, sometimes flick her on the cheek gently, and say “owie, that’s a no no”. She didn’t do it more than a handful of times. You can also try using a nipple shield while nursing

everyone saying to stop nursing immediately say no biting and either put her down or walk away is absolutely right. Can’t get mine to stop twiddling with my other nipple tho lol

Honestly, I'd startle and let out a yelp of pain. My son was so sensitive that it would startle him and he'd cry. He stopped after a few accidental bites. In the meantime while healing I used lanolin cream. I tried using shields but they didn't work, my anatomy was pretty flat so I didn't fill out the nip part.

I tried every single thing possible to continue to physically do it, but then had to resort to just pumping and putting it in a bottle. Broke my heart because it was not what I wanted, but I also at the same time needed my nipples.😬🙄

I nursed my daughter till she was 2 and we are 15 months in with my son. Whenever they bit I would loudly say ouch, no! They would get startled and cry and eventually they realized they couldn’t bite anymore.

Firmly (but gently) take your boob away when she bites and tell her ouch, don’t bite, that hurts mommy! Ugh I’m so sorry I remember that pain so well. I ended up stopping at 16 months pretty much cold turkey bc mine were so painful I couldn’t handle it anymore.

My daughter bit a hole in me when she was about 8 months, I pulled her off and looked her dead in the face and said “no bite!” And then told her I would put her on formula the next day if she ever did it again and it worked

I just put it fully away and rock him and he cries because he wants it. But I just say no babas when we bite. We’re in it right now he’s 8.5 month. He’s done it twice and actually caught himself 3 times about to bite me but stopped himself 🙌🙌🙌. It’s so hard though 😭. And hurts!!

I "took it away" for a minute or so. it didn't take long for him to associate biting with losing his milk and he stopped. I still got a bite here and there when he was teething and needed to lean on support from my partner. good on you for wanting to power through while doing it solo so often!

I tapped him on his mouth and said no sir we don’t do that. It upset him he only bit me twice.

When all of mine (5) eventually bit me, I unlatched them immediately and told them no, and ouch. I repeated it a couple times and put that boob away. Then hold them while they cry and and then when I'm ready and let them latch to the other side and repeated be soft to mama. Then if then did it again, I repeated.

I’ll get hate for this but they get a flick in the cheek and sternly say no bite. I also keep close on eye on baby while nursing and she looks like she about to bite i immediately unlatch her before she bites lol

I nurse my first 20 months. I gave her water for when she bites me and stand on my point. Did not nurse her back to sleep. Just ride the ride and she finaly fell asleep 2-3 hours later. But then… it was the last time I bf her to sleep lol after she wanted a little bit of milk and a book lol that all !
