I have gotten several tattoos at bad points in my life simply to put the pain somewhere else. That being said I 100% can see the appeal of a painless tattoo. I can also see the appeal for an artist having a client not in pain fidgeting around.

I swear people are glued on that whole "earn the tattoo" crap 😆 if you had to earn it through pain, it wouldn't be an easy thing to get nor would there be thousands of shops available. all these made up societal rules.

Idc how you get ur tats, you’re your own person. But I think a lot of people don’t like the idea of numbing because then you can’t bond over the experience at all. You didn’t really experience getting a tattoo, you just sat there. It’s not a “manly” thing, it’s a relatable experience for a lot of people who are tattooed and they can’t relate to what you did, the same way you can’t relate to them. Different strokes 🤷♂️
