Ep 7. Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies! Chocolate Chip Cookie Series 🍪 Ingredients: - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted - 2/3 cup granulated sugar - 3 tbsp brown sugar - 1 large egg yolk, room temperature - 1 tbsp milk - 1 tsp vanilla extract - 1 cup flour - 1/2 tsp baking soda - 1/4 tsp salt - 4oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate chopped (or 3/4 cup chocolate chips) Bake at 350 F for 12-16 minutes Makes 9-10 cookies (I used 3 tbsp scoop) Instructions: Start by mixing the melted butter with the granulated and brown sugar. Add the egg yolk, milk, and vanilla, then whisk until everything is well combined. The higher ratio of white sugar, along with the extra milk, helps the cookies spread more, giving us a thinner, crispier texture. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold in the chocolate, making sure it’s evenly distributed. I prefer using a chocolate bar because the thin shards and uneven pieces create a more even distribution of chocolate without adding too much bulk. Scoop the dough and place them on a lined baking sheet, leaving enough space for the cookies to spread. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 to 16 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. This moderate temperature gives the cookies enough time to spread and bake through while gradually drying out for a crispier texture. Near the end of baking, I like to swirl a round cookie cutter around each cookie while they’re still soft to give them perfectly round edges. Let them cool on the baking sheet so they can crisp up as they set. #baking #chocolatechipcookies #chocolate #cookies #Recipe
