The thing I don’t understand is the stuff she is showing in that clip isn’t even stuff you need to have a license to buy, like what’s the difference buying it at TJ Maxx than it is buying it at Ulta, like TJ MAXX and Ulta sell the same products just different prices. It doesn’t matter where you’re getting the stuff from.

I went the Paul Mitchell and they told us it’s third party & most likely mixed with something & if you buy one and compare it to what we sold it was different. Color and texture was off but it could have been old too. Idk

i bought a jumbo moisturizer recovery set from the salon because my hair needed it but i can’t spend $120 every time i need to refill or my hair has different needs im glad i can buy joico at tjmaxx and switch up the care lines when my hair has different needs for a fraction of the cost!!

I use Amika pretty regularly on my color treated hair (the new one! That I learned about from you!! It’s so good!) meanwhile my stylist - who does sell Amika - has NEVER been like “well you know I sell it too” he’s just glad I’m using the product. Her video is off putting.

I worked at Marshall’s for a few years and we got SO MUCH stock from stores like Sally’s, and Ulta, to our more local professional salon stores depending on the product. We got a lot of product that was overstock or even product that was going on sale in those stores and they wanted to get rid of them faster.

It’s bc they truly believed the company’s when they tried to tell us it was fake if it wasn’t sold in the salon. It took me some years to realize they have been selling us out for years.
