Look…I’m not going to say LeBron wouldn’t have been able to play in the 80’s…but you have to be completely ignorant of that period to make these statements. Without the defensive 3 second rule, LeBron wouldn’t have had unfettered access at the rim, since the bigs of that era weren’t shooting 3’s (their job was to get rebounds and keep people from getting to the rim) he’d have a power forward and a center waiting for him when he got to the paint. Further, LeBron would have to develop much better handles and foot work than he does now, both carries and travels were called much more strictly in that era, so LeBron putting his hand fully under the ball would be a carry, him trying to use the gather step would be a travel…come on man, stop acting like anyone from this era can be just dropped into another without MASSIVE changes to their game
