We saw a GP when my child was 7mths, who said she was “big enough” and to “just stop” breastfeeding. We didn’t listen and she has just weaned at 18 months and I am SAD

I can only produce a max 20 mls a day due to a PPH, NICU stay and Graves’ disease. I have gone to formula and am giving her whatever I can produce but is it worth doing for such a small amount? She will sometimes latch for 10 minutes before I give her the formula as well, I just don’t know if she’s actually getting any benefit from such a small amount

I have a 9 month old & the paed physio said focus is on solids & not on milk. I thought milk was first, then food was exploration & exposure before 1?

Is this why my 15th month old, who’s still breastfed and contracted influenza A, only had 2/3 days of a fever and 0 other symptoms.. but gave it to me and I thought I was going to die and am still sick coming up 4 weeks? 😅😂

this angers me so much. how many breastfeeding journeys have been ended before mum and baby were ready because of incorrect information from what is supposed to be an evidence based source. if they don't know, they need to spend a few minutes doing some research before advising parents incorrectly. we are supposed to be able to trust all health professionals, it's really disappointing. thank you for what you do.

If the recommendation is to exclusively breastfeed until 6 months how come hospital, community nurses and GPs regularly recommend using formula

I give my over supply from my 5 month old to my 4 year old. she has it as her milk before bed.

So milk made for baby cows is nutritious for toddlers but not human milk?? Makes no sense. If I still have a slight oversupply in the winter, I’ll be giving my older kids some pumped milk to hopefully boost their immune systems.

Any advice for repeated clogged ducts? I’ve been trying different pumps, flange sizes, lubricants, everything possible. I have to start back working and wanted to pump but I’ve gotten clogged ducts that are so painful and frequent I won’t be able to continue 🥺
